Stoke are obviously thinking about the summer break now as they have no motivation to play whatsoever. I really thought they would give Liverpool a fight, but that wasn’t the case. The hosts scoring with their first two shots on target didn’t help either, we lost last week’s pick but these things happen.
This Week’s Pick: Arsenal – Crystal Palace
Arsenal have improved immensely recently despite the fact they managed to lose a two-goal lead against West Ham last week. It was a London derby and the Hammers are having a fantastic season, so it’s not the biggest deal in the world.
The important thing is Arsene Wenger obviously found the balance in the team with the inclusion of Elneny, Iwobi and Welbeck. They are playing really well and another bonus is that the pressure is off. Usually, that’s when the Gunners are at their best. They are also close to a fully fit squad which almost never happens.
Crystal Palace pretty much guaranteed their place in the EPL for next season last week. This means the club will be thinking about Wembley and the FA Cup ½ final. On top of that, they are not playing well recently, so I don’t expect a lot from the visitors.
I think this game will be similar to the recent Arsenal wins against Everton and Watford. West Ham was a slip away from home against a highly-motivated team that is playing really well. I don’t expect the same from Crystal Palace and the odds for a convincing Arsenal win look tasty.
Market: Arsenal -1.50 Asian Handicap. This means we need Arsenal to win by at least two goals.
